Travel to Paris:
We took the EuroStar train from St. Pancreas station in London, England at 6:55 a.m. to Paris, France. When we arrived in Paris at 10:55 a.m. we checked into our accommodations at the Hotel George Opera. We dropped off our bags and headed to the Eiffel Tower.
Eiffel Tower:
When we arrived at the Eiffel Tower we walked around the surrounding area, sat in the park, and waited on our ticket time for the tower tour.
At 6:30 p.m. we took an elevator to the 2nd platform of the tower, and then another 200 meter elevator to the top. From there we could see the entire city of Paris.
After looking around we went back to the bottom at 8:00 p.m. to eat dinner at a surrounding restaurant. After dinner we walked back to the park leading in front of the Eiffel Tower, Parc du Champ de Mars, at 9:30 p.m. to watch the Eiffel Tower light show. On the way we met 7 other college students form the University of Mississippi and Mississippi State College who were traveling for the summer. After visiting with them we went back to the hotel at 12:30 p.m.
